Terms and Conditions

 

Celebrate with Chris will provide Chris Hale, a qualified marriage celebrant, to perform the following Services in relation to you upcoming ceremony:

  • Hold an initial meeting to undertand your requirments and get an outline of the intended ceremony as well as discuss any special requirements you may have. Outline to you the basic legal requiremensts and implications of your intended ceremony.

  • Provide guidance and advice on logistics, timing and the intereaction of the ceremony.

  • Prepare a draft of your ceremony for your review and input.

  • Finalise the ceremony for your approval.

  • Meet at the venue for the ceremony and ensure the proposed layout and order of service for the ceremony works and co-ordinate all requirements with any staff at the venue.

  • If the Services are for your marriage ceremony - complete and administer all legal documents and associated requirememnts of the ceremony.

  • If the Services are for your marriage ceremony – Solemnise the marriage in his role as a Civil Marriage Celebrant and register your marriage with Birth, Death and Marriages.

  • If required, assist with your application for an official Birth, Death and Marriages marriage certificate.

  • If the ceremony is to take place outside of the Sydney Metropoiltan Area then Celebrate with Chris reserves the right to charge additional fees.

  • Celebrate with Chris reserves the right to charge additonal fees for any formal correspondence with any government agencies in relation to the ceremony.

  • Celebrate with Chris reserves the right to charge additonal fees for ceremonies involving an unusual time, place or risk.

  • Celebrate with Chris reserves the right to charge additonal fees for any other special requirements as agreed.

  • Celebrate with Chris will provide you with a Statement of Fees at the time of booking the Services.

  • A non refundable intial payment of 50% of the fee is payable on the agreement to proceed with the preparation of your ceremony.

  • Your non-refundable deposit must be received to confirm your booking and Celebrate with Chris reserves the right to cancel your booking and accept another booking at the date and time of your ceremony should your deposit not be received within 7 days of the invoice date.

  • The balance is payable at least 14 days prior to the ceremony date.

  • Should you change either the time or place of your ceremony Celebrate with Chris reserves the right to charge additional fees and/or cancel your booking.

  • Should the ceremony be cancelled or changed after full payment has been made, any refund is at the discretion of the celebrant.

  • It is probable that your celebrant may have other commitments on the day of your ceremony as such, should the ceremony be delayed longer than 45 minutes past the scheduled time, Celebrate with Chris reserve the right to proceed to another engagement and make his best endeavours to return later and complete your ceremony.

 

Please Note: The Attorney General appoints all Australian Marriage Celebrants. Any complaints regarding the service you receive from your Marriage Celebrant should of course be made in the first instance to your Marriage Celebrant and if necessary, finally to the Marriage Celebrant’s Section, Attoney General’s Department, Canberra.
